Job Connection Services
We are getting closer and closer to launching the
Lieutenant Governor's Job Connection Service Program. The goal of this program is
to create an infrastructure that will connect different federal, state, and local
resources for a cheap and efficient linking mechanism between those who are unemployed,
facilities to train the employee, and employers seeking the skilled worker. Thus
far, my office has teamed up With The Employment Security Commission Leadership,
OneStop Leadership, Technical Schools, as well as faith and community based organizations.
We are in the process of linking other important components to the equation and
will be moving forward with the program in the days to come.
When completed, JCS will equip people of the community with the tools necessary
to improve their quality of life through employment, education, and job training.
My office will then travel around the state recruiting organizations that would
like to play a role in JCS by creating a job center in the local communities. This
program will be of no burden to the taxpayer whatsoever.
If you are an employer looking to team up with JCS to gain skilled employees, or
are a representative of a faith-based or community organization interested in learning
more about sponsoring a OneStop Job center, please feel free to contact my office.
More details will come in the following months as we officially launch the JCS initiative.
